Erykah Badu in Givenchy For Vogue Italia (PHOTOS)

There’s just something mystical about Erykah Badu and we can’t quite put our finger on it. It could be her enchanting voice, her free-spirited ways–whatever it is, she’s channeled her energies into the latest issue of Vogue Italia.

Shot by Francesco Carrozzini, the neo-soul singer draws us into the pages in head-to-toe Givenchy. As the face of Riccardo Tisci’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, it’s only right.

Images of Erykah’s spread show her standing tall in an African-themed piece from the Spring 2014 collection and draped on a chair in a gown glittering with sequins. On her feet are Tisci’s latest collab with Nike: the Air Force 1 Hi Boots.

In her interview, Erykah chats with the magazine about “music, fashion, family and cosmic vibrations,” and touches on that voodoo of hers:

“There are those who say I am not to be looked in the eyes, otherwise you end up hypnotized.”
