Over the past decade, Cash Money fans have watched Lil Wayne evolve from a pre-teen hype man, to a multi-platinum selling artist.

After 15-plus years in the rap game, the YMCMB founder says he’s retiring following the release of his fifth and final installment of Tha Carter series. And to top it all off, he’s only 31.

In a recent interview with MTV, Wayne discussed the subject matter of Tha Carter V and attributed the album’s appeal to his maturation and becoming “wiser.”
