Using a runway adorned with a dreamlike art instillation of 1,188 glass titles Korean designer, Lie Sang Bong brought springtime bliss to the Lincoln Center’s Salon venue. Through the use of this visual backdrop, the designer displayed a collage of tranquil motifs that set the stage for his S/S concept.

What followed down the runway thereafter, was nothing short of Sang Bong’s “Dream Road” theme. The garments seen on the models ranged from easy breezy dresses, circular patterns, lots o’ lace, and asymmetrical hems. Many of the pieces incorporated butterflies throughout, giving us all that euphoric feeling of spring.

Trends Spotted: Delicate fabrics featuring motifs of clouds, butterflies and flowers in bloom. Pale pastel hues of whites, blues, purples and turquoise. Pleated skirts, airy maxi’s, cut-out shapes, the asymmetrical craze, and silks galore.

My Rating: Staying true to its theme, Lie Sang Bong took guests out of the hoopla that is New York City allowing them to experience a serene dream filled with sky blues, butterflies, and luxurious silk gowns.

My Favorite Look: The striking cerulean blue gown paired with a colorful collage belt.  Although it was a more muted look from the collection, I loved how the belted – shaped to resemble the wings of a butterfly, gave the dress an added pop.
