It’s going to be a bittersweet weekend in Atlanta.

Legendary rap group Outkast is doing a three-day hometown show in ATL. Sunday is the real gem of the weekend, with Killer Mike, 8Ball and MJG, Bun B, Devin the Dude, Big Gipp and more also hitting the stage.

It hasn’t been explicitly said, but this might be the last chance we’ll get to see Outkast on stage together. That’s sad, because Outkast and their Dungeon Family clique stand as the group that introduced the world to Atlanta rap.

From the early bass-heavy days in the ’80s, to the soulful conscious era in the ’90s, to the trap music craze in the ’00s, here are 10 great, but forgotten Atlanta rappers you should know.
