Ray Rice has been very quiet ever since the infamous elevator incident with his wife Janay Rice and the press conference following the events, but now he’s finally sharing his thoughts on the matter.
Matt Lauer got the chance to go to the couple’s home and interview Janay in an in-depth interview about the domestic assault that occurred earlier this year, and now we’re getting to hear from Ray himself.
Speaking from their kitchen, along with Janay’s mother and father, the football player talked about counseling sessions, the infamous press conference, which he says was more scripted due to legal obligations, and wanting a second chance with the NFL.
He also says that his biggest mistake was not apologizing to Janay during the press conference.
Janay also interviewed with Matt, which aired earlier this week, and she revealed that she refuses to watch the second surveillance footage of her and Ray in the elevator.
She also says that she does not want the opinions of others to bring her back to where she was on that night, and still feels a lot of anger for how it has affected their family.
