The Christmas shopping has commenced and the halls are being decked with boughs of holly, but we’ve been busy making the most out of what the most wonderful time of the year is really about: Looking at all the fine and sexy celebs. Because, research.

How else would we bring you the list of the best dressed men of 2014? Exactly. Whether they were on or off the red carpet, there are a handful of very dapper and very handsome men who showed up and showed out in their sartorial best time and time again this year. From the man who had the happiest year ever—Pharrell—to Nick Young, who kept it swaggy on and off the court, we tasked ourselves with the tough job of ranking them all for your (and, let’s face it, ours, too) viewing pleasure.

If you beg to differ, let us know where the celebs stand on your list in the comment section. But first, try not to drool all over your keyboard…

Honorable Mention: Nick Jonas

After being absent from the public eye for some time, the middle JoBro re-entered the third quarter of 2014, sans clothing, which would disqualify him on a list based on wearing, well, clothes. But damn, does he look good without them.

14. LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavalier took his talents to South Beach in 2010 and then back to Ohio in July, but no matter what team he played for, his style was the real MVP.

13. Dwyane Wade

Any man can wear a suit, but very few can do so the way D-Wade does. From his shoes to his ties, Mr. Gabrielle Union manages to elevate his look, and the same can be said for his off-duty attire as well.

12. Big Sean

When it comes to the casualwear, this Boi has got it on lock. He isn’t a look-at-me, try-hard rapper. Rather, he’s more of a subtle stunt type of guy. But when he does decide to dress up, he does so very, very well. We can only imagine how handsome he would’ve looked on his would-be wedding day…

11. Michael B. Jordan

It’s truly a shame that we don’t see as much as we’d desperately like to see of MBJ outside red carpet appearances, but when he does bless us by stepping out, Michael is always fitted. And if he wasn’t, we’d honestly be too distracted by that smile to notice.

10. Russell Westbrook

He might not get it right every single time, but hey, you can’t have sunshine without a little rain, right? Not only did he make his stylish mark in menswear with his Barneys collaboration, but the Oklahoma Thunder point guard isn’t afraid to take risks and stand out for doing so. Besides, you miss all of the shots you don’t take.

9. Serge Ibaka

His Instagram handle is @mr_avecclasse. Avec classe is a French expression that roughly translates to elegant, glamorous, classy, and other words of the sort, all of which perfectly describe Serge’s style, obviously.

8. Victor Cruz

He might’ve had a rough season on the field, but the New York Giant has yet to fumble off of it. Always tailored to a tee, he’s consistently scored stylish touchdowns with a winning smile to boot.

7. Jared Leto

Most of the time, Mr. Man Bun’s ensembles are more than a little bit rock and roll. He’s edgy. He’s grungy. And, most of all, he’s gorgeous—especially when he suits up. And did we mention the man bun?

6. Nick Young

This year, we got a look inside his very fancy closet and even fancier footwork (seriously, take a look at those shoes), and he became the face of mega-retailer Forever 21 alongside his girlfriend Iggy Azalea. They don’t call him Swaggy P for nothing.

5. Scott Disick

He was once the arrogant yet lovable asshole who wore nothing but bespoke and incredibly lavish suits and ensembles. Now, he’s slightly less of an asshole, but we’re still bowing down to the Lord for continuing to seamlessly transition his style while taking it a few notches down. Yeezy taught him.

4. David Beckham

Hearts broke everywhere after the soccer stud announced that his days of stripping down to his tighty-whiteys were numbered. Good thing he looks almost as striking clothed. Almost. Maybe it’s the hair. Maybe it’s the tattoos. Regardless, this half of the world’s hottest couple always looks so effortlessly suave.

3. Pharrell

Absolutely no one had a happier year than this hitmaker, who left his Arby’s hat-sized mark all over 2014. Not only did his Vivienne Westwood topper win all the red carpets, but Pharrell two-stepped in style in his very own Timberland collaboration – when he wasn’t sporting Swarovski-covered Stan Smiths, that is.

2. A$AP Rocky

A trendy n*gga. A fashion killa. The face of Salvatore Ferragamo’s SS15 campaign. This pretty you-know-what is more than that: He’s undeniably one of the best dressed in the game, and he knows it. Always decked out in designer digs, he has a very succinct style that goes beyond the bounds of your typical trends.

1. Kanye West

Look, we really tried to avoid naming ‘Ye as the best dressed of the year yet again, but honestly, how could we not? He’s the only rapper to cover Vogue magazine, the fashion bible, and to think of him as anything other than one of the biggest fashion influencers for the regular folk would be wrong, especially when his shoes are being flipped for thousands more than their retail price while the world awaits his highly anticipated new collection. More than ever, he’s been going the less-is-more route with no-label looks and low-key ensembles that still have Yeezus stamped all over them. Praise him.
