The Daily Grind Video

Rihanna might be a Bad Gal, but Thursday evening she showed her good side in the spirit of giving back with her inaugural Diamond Ball to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation.

With her locks laid and pulled back into a low ponytail, RiRi was an absolute vision, as usual, in a red Zac Posen gown, and there was no shortage of diamonds shining bright on her wrists, fingers, and around her neck.

The foundation’s mission is to globally improve the quality of life in the areas of health, arts, culture, and education. Rihanna founded the charity in 2012, naming it after her grandparents Lionel and Clara Brathwaite following the passing of her grandmother in the same year.

Mr. Brathwaite, or Bravo as we all know him, was her date for the evening. Other attendees included Kim Kardashian, her momager Kris Jenner, and Salma Hayek, who participated in an auction using paddles of Rihanna’s face. Because, why not.

Later, Rih rihturned to the stage in another Zac Posen stunner—a sleeveless ball gown in a deep blue shade—to perform “Pour It Up” with an orchestra.

An orchestra!

Big Sean also did a surprise performance of “IDFWU,” and Rihanna and Melissa Forde took the liberty of making this video for those of us whose invites must have been lost in the mail, because they knew the FOMO was real.
