With the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jay Z, and tons more topping the charts worldwide, it seems like American music can’t be denied anywhere you go. But there’s still much more outside the U.S. to be heard.

And 2014 was another breakthrough year for artists across the pond to get their shine on in the States.

Not only did they take over the charts, radio waves, and box office as far as concert tickets, but they were even recruited by American artists to help them out on their own tracks.

We had the amazing Sam Smith come sing to our souls, while Jessie J had us in our badass mode as she used her powerful vocals to capture listeners’ attention.

Like the British invasion of the 1960s, UK artists are more ready than ever to soothe our musical taste buds and give American acts a run for their money.
