Two Maryland teenagers were shot outside a gym during a high school basketball game on Wednesday evening, local police say.
The shooting occurred around 8:20 p.m. outside Frederick High School, the school district confirmed. The two students who were shot are receiving care for non-life threatening wounds.

The school was temporarily locked down while police searched for the suspects. Around 10:00 p.m., officials released students to their parents.
The rest of the student body and staff were not injured in the incident. No arrests have been made and officials closed the high school on Thursday pending an investigation into the shooting.
