Last summer, when news came out that Snoop Dogg was throwing out his gangsta rap image, changing his name to Snoop Lion and making peaceful music we weren’t sure how serious he was.

MUSIC: Snoop Dogg “Heaven”

It turns out he was very serious. The proof is in the Drake and Cori B.-assisted “No Guns Allowed,” the latest single off of Snoop Lion’s upcoming Reincarnated album.

The video features Snoop, Drake and Cori B. performing as if they were speaking in front of a congregation.

Throughout their performance you see news images of various shootings that happened over the last year. If you’re a regular on this site then you’ll already be well versed with two of the examples referenced: the Sandy Hook massacre and the Trayvon Martin shooting.

One of the most powerful moments of the video comes at the end where you hear Sybrina Fulton, who’s Trayvon’s mom, saying: “This is not about a black and white thing, this is about a right and wrong thing.”
