New York Knicks power forward Amar’e Stoudemire is still suffering from the loss of his brother Hazell, who was killed in a car crash on Monday morning.
Amar’e spoke out and hit up Twitter nation to thank all his fans for their thoughts and prayers.

He tweeted:
Yesterday we reported that Amare’s older brother Hazell died in a car accident on Florida’s Route 27 in Lake Wales.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stoudemire was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer.
He died on the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol said that Hazell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Our hearts go out to Amar’e and his family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Hazell.
