We’re still reeling from the unspeakable shooting massacre that took place at an Aurora, CO movie complex Friday morning; as 12 people were left dead and others wounded when suspected gunman James Egan Holmes opened fire after the midnight showing of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.

The victims’ families have received visits from President Barack Obama, as the country continues to mourn the death of all 12 victims, the youngest of which was 6-year-old Veronica Moser, who died at a nearby hospital. Gordon Cowden was the oldest at 51.

Suspected gunman Holmes is expected to appear in court today at 11:30 am this morning.

We won’t forget the victims, who have all been identified by Aurora police. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of the Aurora shooting massacre as they begin to heal and find a way to deal with this unspeakable tragedy.

One of the victims, Ashley Moser, 25, drifted in and out of consciousness in the ICU. A bullet was lodged in her throat and she also suffered a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

Her daughter, 6-year-old Veronica, was the youngest victim killed at the Colorado movie theater in one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

All together, the deaths included eight men, three women and Veronica Moser-Sullivan, who was the youngest slain.

Gordon Cowden was the oldest at 51 years old. All victims died of gunshot wounds, according to the Arapahoe County coroner’s office.

Matthew McQuinn, a U.S. Navy veteran who served three tours of duty in the Middle East, died in the shooting massacre while protecting his girlfriend.

Alex Sullivan, 27, was planning to ring in his 27th birthday with friends at the special midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises and then celebrate his first wedding anniversary Sunday. Late Friday, Sullivan’s family confirmed that police told them he was among those killed.

Micayla Medek, 23, was a graduate of William C. Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado and a member of the class of 2015 at the Community College of Aurora.

Navy cryptologist John Larimer went to the theater with three other sailors from nearby Buckley Air Force Base.

An Air Force reservist who worked at Buckley also was killed in the rampage. Sgt. Jesse Childress, 29, was a cyber-systems operator from Thornton, Colo.

Alexander J. Boik of Aurora was one of the 12 victims, and family and friends held a vigil for him on Saturday night. Boik attended the midnight showing with his girlfriend, who survived the shooting.

After graduating from high school in Reno, Nev., victim Jonathan Blunk, 26, of Aurora, Colo., served in the Navy between 2004 and 2009 and most recently worked at a hardware store, according to close friend James Gill of Brighton, Colo.

Blunk had plans to re-enlist with a goal of becoming a Navy SEAL, said Gill, who lived with Blunk several years in the Navy and later in Aurora.

Victim Rebecca Ann Wingo, 32, had started a job several months ago as a customer relations representative at a mobile medical imaging company.

Alexander C. Teves, 24, graduated in June from the University of Denver with a master’s degree in counseling psychology, the school said.

The university identified Teves’ hometown as Phoenix. School officials said they had no other information immediately available.

Jessica Ghawi, 24, moved to Denver from Texas about a year ago and friends and colleagues described her as outgoing, smart and witty.

Ghawi was an aspiring sports reporter who recently wrote a blog post about surviving a Toronto shooting merely two weeks prior.
