We’re not sure if many people are in the mood to “like” the NRA’s Facebook page right now, but in case you were concerned, the National Rifle Association has finally returned to the social network site after going missing soon after the Sandy Hook Newtown Elementary School shooting in Connecticut.

DETAILS: NRA Addresses Sandy Hook Shooting

The page reappeared Tuesday, with a message posted from the gun lobbying group, stating:

The NRA is made up of four million moms and dads, sons and daughters – and we were shocked, saddened and heartbroken by the news of the horrific and senseless murders in Newtown. Out of respect for the families, and as a matter of common decency, we have given time for mourning, prayer and a full investigation of the facts before commenting. The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again.

The NRA also announced that they will be holding a press conference on Tuesday.
