The event was produced in partnership with with j.mcallister Events, The Jessie Rose Project, The Athlete’s Foot, Fanatics, Slim & Husky’s Pizza, Zaxby’s and Dr. Bombay. Just in time for the new school year, thousands of students were provided with free school supplies, uniforms, backpacks, shoes, wellness kits, exclusive Fanatics-branded gear and more.
The warehouse was masterfully transformed into a vibrant festival space, complete with carnival rides, a myriad of games, a bounce house, face painting, and on-site haircuts and braiding services. Attendees received report cards upon entering and enjoyed food from Zaxby’s, Slim & Husky’s Pizza and Dr. Bombay Ice Cream, along with interactive experiences and booths hosted by partner organizations—including a standout Jones Project-branded bus that served as a central hub for community engagement.
A number of city leaders were in attendance to show their support, including Atlanta City Councilmembers Andrea Boone, Michael J. Bonds, and Marci Overstree. In addition, Eshe Collins, civil rights attorney and board member of the Atlanta Board of Education made an appearance.
Lil Baby first launched the annual Back to School Fest initiative in 2021 with the goal of providing for and uplifting youth and families in his hometown. “At this point, it’s about the kids,” he said following the inaugural event.
Four years later, his commitment to youth and education continues to grow, offering a lasting impact on Atlanta’s next generation. This event continues to serve as a powerful example of giving back to the community that raised him, reminding everyone in attendance that success is best shared—and that no student should start the school year unprepared.
