Jovan Belcher 911 Call Released (AUDIO)

Posted December 5, 2012 by Staff Writer for Global Grind Staff

The disturbing 911 call from Kasandra Perkins' mom after her daughter was shot 9 times by Jovan Belcher has just been released.

During the six-minute audio, Kasandra's mother tells the operator:

"Oh my God. Oh my God, Cassie ... The baby is crying ... get the ambulance here please! ... She is still breathing but barely. Please hurry. I don't know how many times he shot her. They were arguing."

Kasi was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Jovan and Kasi began arguing after Jovan arrived home a little after 6:30AM, before Jovan killed Kasi and later killed himself. It is being reported that Jovan stayed at his friend, Brittni Glass' apartment. Brittni has been hounded by reporters since the incident and spoke briefly with The Star, where she said:

“This has been a hard time for everyone, I feel like this whole thing has been blown out of proportion.”

Sports Illustrated also reports some interesting text message exchanges Jovan had with Reggie Parmoure, his former college teammate at the University of Maine, the day before the shooting.

Belcher wrote:

"Everything good bro, baby momma crazy but I have a little girl almost 3 month man and she’s a blessing, she makes me smile on the worst day.”

According to SI, Paramoure responded to the text by jokingly suggesting Belcher should have a gun ready to keep future boyfriends away from his daughter.

Belcher replied: “Yea man I got about 8 guns now, from hand Gunz to assault rifles for her little bf’s.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this tragedy.
