Ex-Marine Scott Olsen, who was shot in the head with rubber bullets by Oakland riot police October 25th, has finally been released from the hospital!

STORY: Scott Olsen, Iraq War Veteran Shot By Oakland Police, Has A Fractured Skull

On his Google Plus page, Olsen posted a message, accompanied with a photo of him wearing a neck brace.

He wrote:

“I’m feeling a lot better, with a long road in front of me. After my freedom of speech was quite literally taken from me, my speech is coming back but I’ve got a lot of work to do with rehab.

Thank you for all your support, it has meant the world to me. You’ll be hearing more from me in the near future and soon enough we’ll see you in our streets!”

Oakland Police have opened an investigation into Olsen’s injury, but police and city officials have not said how they believe the Iraq veteran was injured. Olsen sustained a fractured skull and was hospitalized in critical condition as a result of the shooting.

Olsen’s shooting sparked nationwide protest to Occupy movements across the country, further amplifying the plight of the 99 percent, who are protesting greed and corruption in our political and economic system.
