It's Official! Lil Wayne Will Collaborate On His First Signature Shoe With Supra!! (DETAILS)

It's Official! Lil Wayne will be getting his own shoe.

Back in late February we reported Lil Wayne alluded to the idea of him getting his own sneaker during in a Vibe Magazine interview. At the time, Wayne confirmed the shoe would not be from Reebok or Nike which left many wondering who would be making the 'Air Weezy?'

Since Wayne is such a big supported of the Supra brand, and has worn their shoes on multiple occasions, it may have been a safe assumption to think they would be the brand making Wayne's shoe.

Today we have confirmation they will indeed be making Lil' Wayne's first signature pair of kicks.

ONE Distribution has announced that Supra has entered a partnership with rapper Lil Wayne. The exclusive relationship will result in a collection of footwear inspired and overseen by Lil Wayne and manufactured by Supra. The collection will debut at the Project trade show in Las Vegas on August 20-22 and promises to feature a diverse range of styles.

We hope the shoes Wayne has been seen wearing lately are not a reflection of what his Supra collaboration will look like. A sequined lime green pair of shoes may not go over too well with fans of Supra, but we are pretty sure Wayne will come up with something great.
