We saw ’80s style come back in a big way within the past decade, but like the natural progression of time, the ’90s have returned and the Fall/Winter 2013 Givenchy show was testament to that.
The dark collection featured during Paris Fashion Week was a melancholy throwback to the grunge era of the early ’90s.

The looks were layered to suppress the femininity of the dresses and detail the graphics and prints on the seemingly oversized tops. There was a ton of leather involved, which you would always expect from Givenchy, and the lack of any real pops of color set the fashion house apart.
Even the femininity of the model’s long hair was put on the backburner for a short cropped style that accentuated the clothing more by not being there at all.
Some of the noteworthy attendees were none other than Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Frank Ocean and Carine Roitfeld, who all seemed to enjoy the show before Riccardo Tisci came out to take his final bow.
