In celebration of Earth Day, Origins put on an excellent show at the famous Webster Hall in New York City. Headlined by Grammy-Award winning band Train, the show was opened up by English rockers Treetop Flyers and soulful songstress Nikki Jean. Before the big show, plenty of celebrities touched down on the red carpet to talk about the importance of sustainability and saving our planet.

“Long Story Short” crooner Jackson Harris, Def Jam recording artist Adrienne Bailon and television personality Julissa Bermudez were a few of the people on hand to take in the Earth Week activities.

“I’m bicoastal now, so I have a place in L.A. and New York. When I’m in L.A., I drive a Prius,” says Bermudez on the carpet. “How can I forget my Prius? It’s only 30 bucks to fill the tank!”

“When I travel I get to stay in great hotels, but I have to admit myself, it is tough to resist a whole plethora of plush beautiful towels and you want to use them all,” says Julissa. “Especially if you aren’t at home and you don’t have to clean them since they have housekeeping. You really should use one, it saves energy and water, so I’ve really been more conscious about that.”

With a heightened sense of urgency towards sustainability and using efficient energy solutions, Origins is making the valid attempt to not only make it the right thing to do, but the “in” thing to do as well.
