Britney Spears was packing heat in London on the set of her new video “Criminal,” and despite UK official’s denouncement, she’s NOT apologizing.

When pictures leaked of Britney Spears and her boyfriend Jason Trawick pretending to rob a store in London while on the set of her new video, UK officials were outraged.

After the London riots, UK officials have denounced Britney’s new video saying it “glorifies violence.”

“It is only a music video, but it’s images like this, with pop stars glamorizing gangs, which means that some young people … get drawn in,” Hackney’s Member of Parliament, Diane Abbott, told the ITV news program London Tonight. “Britney should really know better.”

MTV got word from Britney’s camp late last night, and apparently she isn’t bowing down to the apology demands UK officials are making.

In a statement released to MTV, Britney’s camp stated:

“The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened.”

Well, there it is. Britney isn’t apologizing, and we can’t blame her. She has the right to stand by her video and decision.
