It’s not everyday that your job allows you to travel to far off parts of the world that you otherwise wouldn’t be fortunate enough to make it to.
In late September, I was fortunate to travel all the way to Hong Kong for the Diamond Empowerment Fund’s second international fundraiser: Diamonds in the Sky: Hong Kong.

With an incredibly generous sponsor and support all around, I went with the hope of exceeding our DEF London Gala to raise funds to further the mission of empowerment through education and to, of course, enjoy all that Hong Kong has to offer!
After an incredible event and amazing sights, I was thrilled to learn that the Diamonds in the Sky event raised an incredible $2.5 MILLION dollars! Talk about an accomplishment and furthering the mission of empowerment through education!
As our gracious sponsor Cheng Yu-Tung, Chairman of Chow Tai Fook, said, “”The more that I give, the more happiness I gain.”
I am thrilled and honored to have the privilege to work with such inspiring people everyday.
I couldn’t keep a journal entry for each day because they were already filled with meetings and exploratory excursions…But, I did manage to take pictures of the DEF team in action & sights of Hong Kong.
