Have you noticed anything different about Kanye West recently? Well, he’s replaced the Y ending in “Yeezy”  with an “I.”

The change in spelling first showed up written across the back of ‘Ye’s custom Balmain jacket, which he was spotted wearing at the Spring/Summer 2012 Burberry Womenswear show back in September.

Kanye took it a step further and created necklaces for his models which read “Yeezi” for his Dw clothing line presentation in Paris last month.

Additionally, it seems that Kanye has been labeling the equipment for his set on the Watch The Throne Tour with “Yeezi” spray-painted on heavy tour equipment.

We don’t mind the change, but we wonder what the exact reason for it was. Some have speculated that Nike now owns the name “Yeezy,” after the creation of the Air Yeezy, and has ultimately forced Kanye to alter his name.

For all we know, Kanye could have just wanted to do something different. If he keeps using the new spelling of the name, it won’t be long before the ladies are asking “Where are you Yeezi?”

Check out a few of the most recent instances where Kanye began to use the new spelling in the accompanying gallery, as well as a performance of “H.A.M” where he wears the custom Balmain jacket below.
