The sudden passing of hip-hop legend Heavy D has shaken the entire music industry.
The 44-year-old died yesterday, November 8, after collapsing outside his home in Beverly Hills.
We spoke with O’Neal McKnight earlier today where he shared a few words on the passing of his close friend, Heavy D.

I got a chance to style Heavy D for the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards and for me, it was a dream come true. I grew up on his music and he was family to me.
We’ve lost an amazing person, friend, son, and father. I remember him saying before he went on stage, ‘Do you think they still love Heavy D?’ and I said ‘Heavy, we never stopped loving Heavy D!!’
My heart is torn right now and I’m somewhat confused but I know God doesn’t make mistakes, he just needed Heavy to be part of the greatest concert in heaven. Love ya, Hev!!”
