JetBlue pilot Captain Clayton Osbon frightened his entire crew and plane passengers when he abruptly began to warn of terrorists and an Iran takeover!

According to the NY Post, Clayton’s rants began in the cockpit around 10:30 am yesterday, shortly after the plane left New York, headed for Las Vegas.
His first officer then advised him to go to the lavatory to “cool off.” Afterwards, Clayton started to rant about terrorism and said to passengers: “Iran and Iraq are going to bring us down. We all better start saying the Lord’s prayer.”

Fearing what would become of Clayton, an off-duty pilot who was on board the plane, went inside the cockpit and changed lock codes; preventing Clayton from reentry.
When Clayton realized he could not access the cockpit, he grew even more enraged and began to slam himself against the cockpit door repeatedly. Clayton then attacked a woman who tried to calm him, causing many passengers on board to step up and restrain him.
Many people, such as retired New York Police Officer Paul Babakitis, did not recognize that Clayton was a Captain. Paul told reporters:
“I didn’t know it was the captain of the plane. I just saw a deranged person… I thought he was a terrorist… trying to get into the cockpit.”
Paul was able to choke Clayton, while other passengers tied him up and restrained him using their belts. The off duty pilot and co-pilot then provided an emergency landing.
Clayton received a medical checkup in December of 2009 where issues regarding eyesight were his doctor’s only concern.
The FBI is currently investigating the incident.
