All King Myers wants is a shorty from “Around the Way”… even if he isn’t that good with names.

That’s the premise behind the young rapper’s first single, “Around the Way,” which is off his forthcoming LP, Kingology.

MUSIC: Beyond Belief & Katt Rockell “Broken”

The song is a sweet feel good summertime track, where Myers admires a pretty girl that lives in his neighborhood from afar.

MUSIC: L “Peso” Freestyle

On the track, Myers doesn’t quite know her name, however he seems to know every other detail about the mystery girl:

“Shorty was kind of nice, she was brown but her hair was blonde. When I saw her she was leaving out the hair salon. She had a smile that shine, leave you damn near blind. She jaywalked through the hood, she was damn near fined. So you already know I gotta get her. And on the bad days you can see the model in her.”

If you’re not on King Myers yet, maybe it’s time you catch up. The 17-year-old Long Island-native has been grinding for a while now. Myers, who is the god son of legendary rapper Rakim, has been rapping since he was young. Things really started changing for him in 2007 when he hooked up with Big Daddy Kane’s road DJ Skaz Digga and he first started really putting it down in a studio.

Since then he’s been honing his craft.

Last year he released “Summertime,” his hot collaboration with Busta Rhymes’ artist Reek da Villian that had the Internet buzzing.

Now he’s getting ready to really put it down with “Around the Way,” which will be on his debut album Kingology. For his upcoming Kingology album, Myers has already recorded tracks with Rakim, Fred The Godson and Bumpy Knuckles
