GlobalGrind had the pleasure of catching up with the runway beauty to learn a little more about everything from her favorite place to shoot, to her deepest beauty secrets.

Check out the exclusive Q&A below.

How did you first get involved in modeling?

Giedre: I got discovered in my hometown in Lithuania by now my mother-agent. I was just another schoolgirl at that time, until I went to NY for fashion week. It went so well, a lot of people had to learn how to pronounce ‘Giedre.’

What it your favorite place in the world to shoot?

My fave place to shoot is inside the studio! There is air conditioning, and nice food catered. Beach pics sure look hot, but it’s hard to shoot.

What are your beauty secrets?

I think a good person is beautiful, a healthy person is beautiful. Those are the true secrets. Physically, I believe it’s all about drinking water and moisturizer.

Aside from modeling, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I really enjoy reading books. My favorite is graphic novels, novels and detective stories.

What do you plan to do after you finish modeling?

I’d like to model for a while longer and then retire and become a chef. In the long run, make a family of my own so I have someone to cook for.

What was your biggest culture shock when moving to NYC?

I didn’t really experience culture shock in NY because I arrived from Chin. But NY is a very special city. I like that everyone can be whoever they want to be and everyone has big dreams.

What are the items you have in your handbag that you can’t leave the house without?

I always have my phone with me. I’m always a model on duty.

Which celebrity wardrobe do you envy?

My wardrobe envy has to be Kate Moss’. She has all the great leather jackets and rocks skinny jeans. Kate always looks effortlessly chic.

What was the most memorable moment of your career thus far?

Shooting with Steven Meisel, he’s a genius with no doubt. And another one is meeting and working for Muccia Prada. Her collections are so inspiring!
