When it comes to Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Karrueche Tran, there is no one young or old who doesn’t have an opinion about them as individuals or their love triangle as a whole. Karrueche is the faithful girlfriend scorned and Chris is torn between the two, but has anybody really taken a moment to analyze where Rihanna is coming from?

Everyone, even the sarcastic Joan Rivers, has attacked the Bajan superstar for letting Chris Brown back into her life after he brutally abused her, leaving her physically and emotionally scarred for a very long time.

People are primarily worried about the message that Rihanna is sending the world, but what people have to understand is, this is not about a message.

I agree: with being a celebrity comes a certain amount of responsibility, and people in the public eye have to be careful with what they depict as right and wrong. However, when it comes to love, all of that is thrown out the window… and rightfully so!

Picture this: The love of your life is suddenly ripped out of your life after harming one of the people he loves most in the world – you. As most women are, you’re confused and you don’t want to leave him because deep down inside, you feel he is not the monster that just emerged moments ago. He takes responsibility for what he’s done, apologizes, and begins the necessary work in order to get better. He actually cares about getting better and even when the cameras aren’t on, he continues to work on himself. He volunteers when the press isn’t around, he takes all the scrutiny and criticism that comes with his mistake, and he just continues to push forward, until one day he becomes the better man he hoped he would someday be.

Is this not admirable? Chris Brown has done more sincere groundwork than any monster that I’ve ever known. Is there nothing he can do to be forgiven for what he did… ever? Chris Brown had to battle a demon, as we all have to battle our own… and it seems that he is winning that war.

Back to Rihanna. She lost the love of her life. Everyone is pretending they don’t understand her, but we all do. She has questions that she needs answers to, and she has to find the answers out for herself or she will always question their relationship.

It may not be a good idea in the end, but for true love, it’s worth the risk. And it isn’t about how the world feels about her doing this… it isn’t about her looking stupid, or coming out of it hurt. It’s about making sure she doesn’t have any regrets at the end of the day.

She may be “Stupid In Love,” but no true love is logical.

So phuck the message that it sends. She needs her answers… and that part, I can definitely understand.

After all, if she loses, it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
