Police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting an Alabama woman while she held her 10-day old son.
Authorities say 20-year-old Corderious Domini McClellan is charged with capital murder in the death of 24-year-old Sherri Williams. Officials say the man surrendered to police Tuesday night and will be held in the Jefferson County jail without bond.

A bullet unintended for Sherri Williams took her life as she stood holding her 10-day-old baby son in her arms.
Today, police in Alabama are asking for the public’s help in finding the gunman who killed the 24-year-old mother of three while she was standing in the doorway of her apartment building.
Williams was shot in the chest by the bullet, however, her son was unharmed. When the bullet connected, she collapsed onto a couch, where authorities found her with the baby still in her arms.
One of her other children, a 6-year-old daughter, was in school at the time of the shooting. Sadly, her 4-year-old son was home with Williams during the shooting.
