This guy gave his doctor an inch…and he took the whole mile.

Vishal Thakkar was undergoing a rhinoplasty to get his nose to his desired size, when something went terribly wrong. The top plastic surgeon from Oklahoma who was performing on him took off his whole nose.

The entire thing.

Now, he’s suing the doctor for gross negligence and incompetence that resulted in his disfigurement.

Thakkar says he first visited Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, a top cosmetic surgeon who currently serves as president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, back in 2006 following his divorce.

“I decided to do something selfish,” Thakkar said.

Immediately following the first surgery, Thakkar noticed something was wrong.

“I had the first surgery and suffered some breathing problems, nothing too bad, but it made it hard to exercise and sleep,” he said.

After that, Dr. Cuzalina operated on Thakkar’s nose several times to correct the mistake. By 2011, he had undergone 21 corrective surgeries on his nose, which had also become infected. During the 22nd surgery, the doctor gave up altogether and cut Thakkar’s nose off.

The doctor is now saying that Thakkar is unstable and has harassed his staff, but Thakkar isn’t giving up without a fight.

“There is no way I am going to live like this. It is worse than being dead,” Thakkar said.

He is demanding punitive damages for a whole host of transgressions, including medical malpractice, malicious prosecution, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, conspiracy and fraud.

Sad man, we wish him the best of luck.
