Like it or not, Summer 2013 is coming to a close. It’s time to trade our bathing suits for backpacks and books.

That’s right y’all, school is (almost) back in session.

Calm down. It’s OK, because this summer was totally epic and we’ll have lots of great memories. We had gorgeous weather…

…and some major hip-pop moments.

This summer was a huge one for all our favorite A-listers. Celebs were having babies, tying the knot, making drastic changes in their lives and we loved every minute of it. From Kim Kardashian to Lindsay Lohan, all the way up to Queen Bey herself – everyone who’s anyone had something going on in Summer 2013.

Because this weekend is our last chance to live it up, we rounded up all the best hip-pop moments of this summer in GIFs, videos and pictures!

Check it out and thank us later.

This summer gave us baby KimYe…

We finally met North West

…And Sebastian, AKA The Bash…

Not only did we meet their adorable baby boy this summer, but Amber Rose and her man Wiz Khalifa finally tied the knot (twice!) this summer…

Before her second wedding, Amber twerked for us!

It wasn’t just a big summer for celebrity babies and weddings. Summer 2013 was a time of change; Lindsay Lohan stuck it out in court ordered rehab and, actually, began a pretty solid comeback…

Raven Symone finally came out to the world via Twitter…

…And Beyonce ditched the weave, opting for a pixie cut instead…

…And then threw us for a loop once again, opting for a short bob.

June 18, 2013 will forever live on in hip-pop infamy. Three hip-hop heavyweights released major albums that day.

Kanye West’s Yeezus

…J. Cole’s Born Sinner

…and Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With The Sound Off all hit shelves that day and record sales went through the roof.

Don’t get it twisted though. That wasn’t the only huge day for the music industry this summer.

On June 15th, Jay Z announced that Magna Carta Holy Grail would be hitting shelves July 4. On top of that, he revealed that Android users would have access to the album three days before it was actually released.

EPIC!

On top of that, Jay randomly decided to take over Twitter and answer loads of fans’ questions ahead of his album, which never happens. #NewRules

Though summer is a historically bad time for television and movies, Summer 2013 had some surprisingly big hits.

In early July, Netflix users were introduced to Piper Chapman in Orange is the New Black

…Jay Gatsby made his way to the silver screen

The Heat killed at the box office…

…The wolf pack returned for one last hoorah in The Hangover Pt. III

The Butler got rave reviews from President Obama… Oprah even came to chat with us (EPIC!!)

…We learned a thing or two about surviving the end of the world in This Is The End

Oscar Grant brought a tear to everyone’s eyes in Fruitvale Station

…and The Conjuring scared the crap out of all of us!

Like every summer that has come and gone, there were a few songs that we will forever associate with Summer 2013…

…like Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines“…

Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop“…

…Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie“…

…And Drake & Migos’ “Versace” (not to mention every remake that followed…) But seriously, like, this many people followed in Drizzy’s Versace footsteps:.

We couldn’t forget Kendrick Lamar getting on Big Sean’s song “Control” and, not only calling Big Sean out, but also putting the rest of his peers out on front street, including heavyweights: J. Cole, Drake, Wale, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, and Mac Miller.

This summer, the VMAs made their way to Brooklyn, NY and those of us who couldn’t score a ticket watched on at what would become a night to remember.

Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke hit the stage and performed what may have been the most epic VMA performance in the history of VMA performances…

…Justin Timberlake stole the show in a tribute to none other than himself…

…and for one minute and sixteen seconds * NSYNC was a thing again.

Let’s not forget about TV:

Love & Hip-Hop: ATL’s Stevie J actually made an attempt at being a good guy by putting a ring on Joseline’s finger. We’re not sure if he’s for real though…

Basketball Wives returned to VH1 and Evelyn Lozada nearly forgot her anger management classes while talking to Susie. Good thing is, she managed to keep it together… this time. Oh, Susie.

Pretty Little Liars FINALLY revealed the mastermind behind the “A” team. We would have never guessed it was…

No but seriously, “A” is…

MTV’s hit series Catfish kept us on the edge of our seats all. summer. long. Seriously – Is her real? Is he not real? Did he really give a stranger his bank account number?!

Slang words like “Twerking,” “Selfie” and “Girl Crush” made their way into the Oxford Dictionary online. Thank you, Internet age!

But the best moment… the VERY BEST MOMENT of the summer was when America united for Trayvon Martin:

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year hold!
