The starvation death of a Kentucky prison inmate has cost a prison doctor his job after authorities confirmed they he and others could have done more to save the man. James Kenneth Embry, who had served six years of his nine-year sentence, began refusing his anti-anxiety medication during the spring of last year, which caused him to act erratically and refuse meals. By December, Embry, who stood six feet tall, was just 138 pounds. He died in January, but an internal investigation at Kentucky State Penitentiary determined that medical professionals inside the facility could have intervened. Read about it here…[RT]
