Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez seem to be a loving happy couple, whose celebrity life doesn’t get in the way of their relationship. So how did these two love birds meet? Well, the couple initially met each other eight years ago in 2003.

Their love story began when Carmelo’s friend DJ Clue, who used to VJ for MTV, was working with Lala on a show called ‘MTV’s Beach House.’ Carmelo thought Lala was attractive and inquired about Ms. Vasquez to his friend. It wasn’t until the two were clubbing in the same nightclub when he went up to Lala and introduced himself. The two exchanged info but remained just friends.

It wasn’t until a few months later, when their friendship blossomed into a romance. Not too long later, the two became engaged on Christmas Day in 2004. A year later the couple found out they were expecting a baby boy. Kiyan Carmelo Anthony was born March 7, 2007. The couple was over-joyed and ecstatic as Kiyan completed their life.

Six years after getting engaged, Carmelo and Lala were married on July 10, 2010. The couple was married by Georgetown University professor and celebrity speaker, Michael Eric Dyson. They were married in front of 320 of their family members and closest celebrity friends.
