In CHICAGOLAND the violence never stops. Christopher Travis, 14, was fatally shot in the head at Emmett Till Math and Science Academy when 3 men inside a tan car drove by and began to open fire.

Christopher, of the 6400-block of South Evans, was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Andrew Holmes, director of No Guns No Violence, held Lincoln’s hand on the way in.

‘From my understanding going door to door, this is not the first time these individuals have pulled a trigger to shoot at somebody,’ Holmes said. ‘But this time they took a life.’

Holmes said he’s taking the shooting personally, so he’s knocking on doors to get the community to talk.

‘I expressed to all of them, you know their names, you know where they’re at, you know where they rest their head at, where they stay at. Give us the information,’ Holmes said.

‘All I can say is, please come forward. You don’t know what I’m going through,’ Lincoln said. ‘This violence needs to stop.’

Police say all three were standing on the street around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday when shots were fired from a tan car with three men inside. That car was traveling eastbound on 65th at Drexell. It is unclear if any of the victims were targeted.

Travis’ mother told reporters; ‘I plan on going to the morgue so I can identify my son ’cause I never got a chance to view the body at the hospital yesterday,’
