I recently had a gig at The Middle East in Boston. The capacity was about 200 and I sold it out. Joe Budden had performed there last week and was ‘banned’. Smh. Me being me, I figured it would be a regular show, I do my one-two thing and I’m out. Dipset bird gang. Lol I’m an idiot.

I was wrong however. The crowd was beyond excited to see me. They chanted and screamed every word, yelled out songs, threw their hands in the air, danced and cheered the entire night. Btw, I’m gearing up for The Achievement and SxSw. So much so that I’m now perfecting my show game and interacting with my Dj and the crowd more. Brings the entertainment value to another level.

At this show, I noticed a guy on the right of the stage, who knew every word verbatim. His name is Richard. We’ve spoken a few times on myspace via messages and he expressed his love for my music. He also vaguely expressed how my music helped him get thru situations. I’m an artist who loves his fans dearly. Especially ones who take my music more than music but as help to get em thru their problems. I won’t put his myspace page up, even though its for public viewing, but I will post a picture of us up. I’ve never in my life seen someone react to my music as he has. He wanted to take flicks, chit chat a bit, and just vibe. When I got off stage, I was bombarded by my fans. I proceeded to go home and review the footage. I then went on myspace to see a picture of him and I.

I then decided to finally go to his page. I did and I was one of his hero’s, influences and favorite artists. Seeing that made me realize that I am a voice for people that are in trouble, need inspiration, hope, tranquility and want better for themselves. He’s my number 1 fan in my eyes because I’ve inadvertantly assisted with the recovery of his life. It also meant alot to me because I know as I become more successful, I won’t have the time to bond with my fan base like I did that evening. So I encourage artists to reach out to your fans. Fans, vice versa. Let us know what we did to help. Let us know what kinda music you need to help you get thru. I can’t speak for any of my peers, but I will listen. Word to Richard….

Itz Mickey!
