Wait, is it 2013?

A Fort Worth, Texas teacher is being accused of separating his class by race and insulting the students and their families.

Obviously, the teacher’s fifth graders and their parents are not happy. The Forth Worth Independent school district said in a statement that they are aware of the allegations and would take appropriate action after all the facts are known.

What is known is this:

Parents said the incident happened in a music class Friday at Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary School. Sandra Lee said it was the first thing her daughter told her about after school.

“He called the class stupid, and when he separated the black kids from the white kids, he told the black kids I know where y’all from,” Lee said her daughter told her. “He said I can tell neither one of y’all get punished at home.”

Another student told CBS 11 News that he and some of his classmates were then told to leave the classroom.

Lee believes the teacher was being racist.

“It was racist,” Lee said. “Everything that was going on was racist. At that school, at that classroom, with that teacher, it was very racist.”

But this isn’t the first time this particular teacher has raised some eyebrows. One parent, Gloria Popoca, said several students in her daughter’s class told administrators that they watched a movie with profanity and violence earlier in the year.

Is this guy up for a role in the new Bad Teacher or something?
