Looks like pleading from George Zimmerman’s girlfriend to drop charges against the former neighborhood watchman worked.

Prosecutors are now saying they will not file domestic violence charges against Zimmerman, who was accused of threatening Samantha Scheibe with a shotgun and breaking a coffee table in her home.

Earlier this week, Scheibe said in a sworn statement that she did not want to pursue the case. Zimmerman was facing charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief following the Nov. 18 incident.

State Attorney Phil Archer in Seminole County said in a statement Wednesday that Samantha Scheibe’s decision not to cooperate and the lack of other corroborating evidence made a successful prosecution unlikely.

This isn’t the first time Zimmerman has “gotten off the hook.” This summer, he avoided criminal charges stemming from a domestic dispute with his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman, and most infamously, he was acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in July.
