OK, so we have to admit, The Oscars isn’t really our thing. It’s a little vanilla as far as awards shows go, but there were a handful of things that happened tonight that kept it entertaining.
So just in case you didn’t watch, or want to relive some of the night’s most entertaining moments, here’s the rundown:
Jennifer Lawrence totally tripped while making her way onto the red carpet
Here’s a closer look:
Oh and ya know, just Tyson Beckford interviewing Lupita Nyong’o on the red carpet
Jared Leto won for Best Supporting Actor and his acceptance speech was perfect:
“To all the dreamers out there around the world watching this tonight, in places like Ukraine and Venezuela, I want to say we are here, and as you struggle to make your dreams happen, to live the impossible, we’re thinking of you tonight,” Leto said.
In the press room backstage after accepting his award, Leto explained his decision to comment on Ukraine and Venezuela.
“We have a show in the Ukraine in a couple of weeks,” said Leto, referring to his band 30 Seconds to Mars. “We have a show in Thailand in a few weeks. We had a show in Venezuela in the works. These world events affect us. It was important to address those things.”
Pharrell wore shorts on the red carpet
But brought back his hat for his performance of “Happy”
…and this happened…
Meryl Streep & Pharrell shimmied at each other
Ellen was on her selfie game the entire night.
And this one = the most epic selfie of all time [and officially the most RTed tweet of all time]
And she ordered pizza for everyone…and people actually ate it, proving to everyone that [some] people in Hollywood do eat.
