Earlier today, Amanda Bynes had one of the worst kind of breakdowns you can have: a public one. The child star, who has a history of mental health issues and erratic behavior, sent out a string of strange tweets, where she alleged that her father sexually abused her.
(This came hours after TMZ released footage of Bynes shoplifting, while dancing erratically.)
Hours after her initial set of tweets, Bynes returned to Twitter where she said the Tweets about her father weren’t true…and than a microchip in her head made her say those things.
My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me

It’s a sad state of affairs. Bynes clearly needs help. And she needs it now.
Young people might not know this, but at one time, Bynes was seen as the most promising young talent. (She was from that Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen pool.)
A natural talent, Amanda Bynes spent most of her youth making other youth laugh, whether it was on the stage, on television (All That) or in movies (What a Girl Wants.)
On this #FlashbackFriday we thought it would be appropriate to look back at some of the career highlights of the once promising star.
