A Chicago police officer who fatally shot a 95-year-old World War II veteran with a beanbag gun was acquitted Wednesday. Park Forest Police Officer Craig Taylor, who shot John Wrana at an assisted living facility in July 2013, was found not guilty of felony reckless conduct. Cook County Judge Luciano Panici said the officer acted with restraint as Wrana wielded a knife. “There was nothing criminal about his actions,” Panici said. Read about it here… [AP]

So this happened. On Wednesday, Fox and Friends found a new culprit for the downfall of America — Disney’s hit movie Frozen. Wait, is President Obama really Elsa? “Are movies like the Disney smash hit about an ice queen and her sister empowering girls by turning our men into fools and villains?” host Steve Doocy asked in a segment devoted to smashing the movie for emasculation. “It would be nice for Hollywood to have more male figures in those kinds of movies.” See it here… [HuffPost]

The driver of a Walmart truck that collided with actor Tracy Morgan’s vehicle, injuring the comedian severely and killing another comic, lost a bid to delay the case this week. A judge ruled against Kevin Roper, who filed a motion to delay Morgan’s lawsuit against Walmart for the June 7 crash. Roper, who faces criminal charges in the crash but has not been indicted, wanted to delay the case until his own criminal case could be resolved. Read about it here… [Billboard]
