The #KylieJennerChallenge took social media by storm this past weekend, with teens trying to get Kylie‘s notorious pout. However, many quickly realized that sucking into a cup isn’t actually the best way to get a gorgeous full set of lips.

In honor of this bizarre trend, here’s a list of some odd trends that have popped up recently.
Contouring, aka “Kontouring”

Made famous by Kim Kardashian, this form of makeup artistry has everyone’s cheekbones and jawlines chiseled for the gawds. But beware, it involves a hell of a lot of makeup.
Waist Training
Made popular by Mrs. West, Blac Chyna, and Amber Rose, this corset-like Spanx alternative makes one’s waist smaller and gives you that hourglass shape these ladies are most known for. Allegedly.
Rainbow-Colored Hair
This one simply became sensational overnight. From Kylie Jenner and Hilary Duff, to Amber Rose, Chris Brown, and even 69-year-old Helen Mirren, the urge for rainbow-colored hair has gotten to almost all of our favorite stars.

Some may say this trend started back in the day with Jennifer Lopez; however, the celebration of curvy woman to such a crazy extent is a fairly new trend, one that we hope doesn’t go away. But that doesn’t mean people should have unsafe surgery just to look like K. Michelle or Kim K.
On-Break Babies
We were all surprised when we learned that Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union had a brief split in 2013. What was even more surprising was the fact that the basketball player had fathered a child during that time. Shortly thereafter, we also learned that Ludacris had fathered a child during his break from then-girlfriend, now wife, Eudoxie. Just last month, news broke that Chris Brown had fathered a child outside his relationship with long-term girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
Social Media Announcements
This one leans over to the ratchet side. Althea and Benzino of the Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta franchise are apparently expecting a child together and the mom-to-be thought posting the announcement on Instagram for both the world (and her man) to find out was the best way to go about it.

Weeks later, Young Thug decided to propose to his girlfriend Jerrika Karlae via Instagram as well.
While both Benzino and Jerrika were happy about their good news, we hope to God this trend stops.
