According to police, there is no longer an ongoing shooting at a Walmart location in Amarillo, and the shooter has been killed. The hostages have also been confirmed as safe.
According to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office, at least one person was being held by the suspect in what authorities are describing as a “workplace violence situation.”

Police in Amarillo, Texas are responding to reports of an active shooter and a possible hostage situation in a Walmart store in the city.
Police are urging customers to stay away from the store. Law enforcement officials have also evacuated people from the building, Reuters reports.
There are no confirmed gunshot victims. Police did not offer details about the suspect.
