Avenger-Steria: The Most Bizarre Fan Moments During ‘Endgame’ Weekend

Avengers: Endgame is not a movie to play with.

Of course, the Avengers are a force to be reckoned with by themselves, but it’s really the fans who will wreak havoc if anyone messes with their precious Marvel heroes.

This weekend, the flick that caps off a major era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released to theaters. According to Deadline, it completely smashed box office records, becoming the highest grossing opening weekend film domestically, international and worldwide with $1.209 billion dollars in revenue.

Clearly, fans were flooding the theaters.

But it didn’t come without some bizarre and outright violent stories. Hit the flip, to find out how wild fans became during Endgame weekend.

MIT Captain America Shield 

First, the weekend kicked off on a light note when a group of pranksters at Massachusetts Institute of Technology transformed the school’s Great Dome into Captain America’s shield.

According to The Boston Globe, the unidentified pranksters started planning the setup about a year ago when they learned a new Marvel movie was going to be released. One of the organizers explained that the current generation of MIT students grew up with the Avengers franchise, and the shield was a token of their gratitude towards the characters.

Sudbury, Massachusetts native Chris Evans seemed to approve. The actor who plays Captain America retweeted the MIT dome, writing, “Very cool!”

Avengers theme music mini-concert

Two Israeli musicians, Yair Chesler on the trumpet and Daniel Yosef Abdu on the guitar, decided to serenade fans waiting on the movie to start.

Megaplex Theatres in Utah hosted a 59 HOUR marathon of ALL 22 Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Woman gets rushed to the hospital after crying uncontrollable during Endgame screening 

Yes, a woman literally started hyperventilating during the emotional moments of Endgame. 

According to The News, 22-year-old Xiaoli of China was bawling her eyes out during the flick, so much that she started having trouble breathing.

Poor Xiaoli had to be rushed to the hospital and she was provided oxygen to normalize her breathing.

Smh.

Man gets bloodily beaten outside theatre for yelling out spoilers 

Finally, one Endgame screening ended in violence when one evildoer tried to spoil the movie for fans.

According to Deadline, a man outside a movie theater was shouting out spoilers to fans waiting in line. What was people’s response?

They beat the Infinity Stones out of him after watching the movie. Taiwanese media said the unidentified man was left bloodied outside the theater.

Smh.
