On the early morning of March 3, 1991 one of the most shocking cases of police brutality occurred when four Los Angeles police stopped a car driven by Rodney King and then proceeded to savagely beat him.
The police originally said King came towards them in a violent manner. However, we would later learn this was not true.

In one the most famous acts of voyeurism, George Holliday taped the incident while it was occurring, and the tape would then find its way to the news.
It was an incident so jarring that it sparked the infamous L.A. Riots a year later after an all white jury found the four officers not guilty.
Earlier today it was reported that Rodney king had been found dead in his home Sunday.
