They are calling her little sweet-feet! Nine-year-old Samantha Gordon has become an Internet sensation for being the only girl on a pewee-football team and dominating the competition.

Sam has scored a record 25 touchdowns in her first season of tackle football for the Salt Lake City Utah Gremlins.

What started as a way to keep up with her big brother has turned Sam into a star player in her local all-boys football league. She’s become one of the fastest children in the league, breaking and making tackles among the much bigger players.

Sam plays both sides of the ball and has been featured on ESPN’s Sportscenter for the last two days.

According to Yahoo Sports:

“She could cut and follow blocks like a college football player,” says her coach, Chris Staib.

Staib hatched a plan: His team was drafting seventh out of nine. He wanted to pick the girl. So he started talking her down, suggesting she would get hurt. The other coaches bought it, and with his first selection he chose Sam Gordon.

Staib just laughed. Sam ended up running for 25 touchdowns and 10 conversions (no PATs at this level) in her first season playing tackle football. She earned the nickname “Sweet Feet” – a modern-day Rudy Huxtable – and a breathtaking viral video in which she looks so fast that you have to wonder if it’s real.

Take a look at Sam in action:

Weighing not even 60 pounds, Sam is playing in a team of much bigger boys, including a boy who weighs more than 150 pounds and is nicknamed Tank. But according to Staib, Sam will even tackle Tank if she gets the chance.

Sam will no doubt keep up with the competition. Go girl!
