I have just embarked on a week long trip to Israel.

I am here with my partner, Rabbi Marc Schneier, my representative for The Organization for Ethnic Understanding. We are here for peace and to discuss the importance of dialogue between the Muslim people and the Jewish people. The Rabbi and I met with Nir Barkat, the mayor of Jerusalem yesterday at a meeting for The Organization for Ethnic Understanding which promotes positive relationships between Muslims and Jews.

We were humbled to be the guests of the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, at an event organized by the President himself, which was a mini world cup for Israeli kids and Palestinian kids.

Today I am starting my day with a meeting with the Jerusalem Post before heading to Tel Aviv. My political director, Michael Skolnik has gone to Palestinian territory to hopefully arrange a meeting with President Abbas.

The Prayer is to get Prime Minister (of Israel) Benjamin Netanyahu and President Abbas to agree to support and co-chair our program with Imams and Rabbis. We already got Shimon Peres’ blessings 🙂

The work is never done.
