Take a good look at the dress above. How much would you guess that it costs?

If you guessed $133,075, you would not only be right, but one hell of a good guesser!

Lady Gaga broke records on Wednesday night by paying the highest price ever paid for an Alexander McQueen creation at an auction.

Gaga phoned in her bid from the U.S. on the McQueen ivory silk tulle empire waist gown, which came from the 2008-09 collection, “The Girl Who Lived in the Tree.” The auction was held at Christie’s in London and featured the personal collection of artist and fashion collector Daphne Guinness. It raised $744,285, which was four times the pre-sale estimate, to benefit the Isabella Blow Foundation. Founded by Guinness to honor her friend, the fashion muse and editor who died in 2007, the foundation supports aspiring art and fashion students and mental health research.

Gaga was among bidders from 21 countries and certainly made a big splash when her final bidding ended so high. Honestly, although the dress is nice, there had to be some sort of sentimental value for Gaga to spend so much. Either way, we are pretty sure the Born This Way singer has no problem buying a dress at this price to simply wear around the house while watching Netflix!
