10 Celebs Who Travel to Israel (PHOTOS)

In honor of Hanukkah, we were thinking of all the celebrities who have paid a visit to the Holy Land for pleasure, discovery, or even business. You’d be surprised by the droves of celebrities who visit Israel and they go quite often.

First up is our pop diva, Lady Gaga. Last year, Lady Gaga went to Tel Aviv and the pop sensation definitely toned it down and dressed a little more conversatively. She had a concert in Tel Aviv but she also intended to make her trip to the Holy Land a spiritual one as well.

Rihanna is another artists who stopped by. For her Last Girl On Earth Tour, Rihanna visited Tel Aviv and Jerusalem where she also showed off her figure in a colorful bikini. She also visited some local markets and churches in Israel. Rihanna even commented on her visit: “It’s my first time in Israel and I’m thrilled. This is a great experience for me. I’m excited about the show.’

And of course, Natalie Portman! If you know anything about this beautiful actress it’s that she was born in Jerusalem and she is VERY proud of it. While at Harvard, she spent a lot of time studying and researching the Middle East. Natalie is a frequent visitor of the Holy Land and she is quite verbal about her love of the country. 

For her I Am… tour, Beyonce paid a visit to Israel in early 2010. Beyonce spent three days in Tel Aviv.

Leonardo Dicaprio is also another frequent visitor. He usually goes with his model girlfriend, who was born and raised in Israel, Bar Refaeli. Just recently they both took a little vacation out there. This captures one of their trips back in 2007, when his bodyguards got into a little scrap with photographers in Jerusalem.

And who could forget Kabbalah enthusiast, Madonna. She is definitely a frequent visitor for a number of reasons: religion, vacation and business. Madonna even ended her tour in Israel and frequently gives country lots of love.
