Vanessa Hudgens is taking on the most challenging role of her career. The all-grown-up Disney star was spotted on the set of an upcoming movie called “Gimme Shelter” yesterday, July 15.
The actress was almost unrecognizable with ragged clothes and a short ‘do as she filmed a scene in which she eats food from a dumpster in Newark, New Jersey.
In the flick, Vanessa plays a homeless pregnant teen who runs away from her abusive mother to find her biological father.
Also starring Rosario Dawson and Brendan Fraser, “Gimme Shelter” is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2012.
