Ariana Grande is all about the collaboration.
Following work with artists like Mac Miller, Fabolous, and Big Sean, Ariana links up with The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes for “Almost Is Never Enough” off the upcoming The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones soundtrack.
The video showcases Ariana and Nathan becoming acquainted for the first time, and singing their duet in the studio together. There are also scenes from The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones featured as well.
“I’d like to say we gave it a try/ I’d like to blame it all on life/ Maybe, we just weren’t right,” Ariana sings.
Nathan follow ups with:
“If I could change the world overnight/ They’d be no such thing as goodbye/ You’d be standing right where you were.”
The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones soundtrack releases August 20th. Expect “Almost Is Never Enough” to also appear on Ariana Grande’s debut album, Yours Truly, due out September 2nd.
