Imagine this: you’re on a white-sand beach, the sun is shining, and the waves are washing over you as you’re in the company of your favorite models. Sounds like paradise, right?
That could be a reality thanks to our friend Petra Nemcova and the Happy Hearts Fund. For the first time ever, Sports Illustrated is opening up next year’s photoshoot for their Swimsuit Issue, and one lucky winner and a guest will be flown to the set of a beautiful location, such as Hawaii, Fiji, or Thailand, to watch it all take place.
“This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue,” says Petra. It also marks the 10th Anniversary of a world-changing event – the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami that killed almost 300,000 – a tragedy that she was blessed to survive just one year after being on the cover of the issue.
Petra set up the Happy Hearts Fund to rebuild schools after natural disasters, and in just seven years, it’s rebuilt 85 schools, reached 46,000 children and impacted the lives of 490,000 community members. Now, she wants you to get involved: for a small donation to the charity, you’ll be entered to win a trip to a photoshoot for the 2015 Swimsuit Issue.
“I was lucky to survive the tsunami, and to have a family and home to return to. I have also been blessed to see first-hand the difference that a new school provides not just to the children, but to the entire community who want nothing more than hope and opportunity for their kids. You can be part of this amazing change – any small amount helps to brighten the future and the hearts of these incredible children.”
The larger the donations, the more chances you’ll have to win. Plus, there are guaranteed prizes that come with various donation levels, including a signed copy of the 50th anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and a Skype session with Petra!
“Help us reach our goal of completing the 100th school by the end of this year–we can do it together!”
